LAUREN MELZER
OWNER AND PROGRAM DIRECTOR
I am originally from San Diego, California, I started cheering on an all star team when I was just 5 years old and continued through age 18, reaching the then-maximum Level 6. I also cheered all four years of high school, serving as team captain my senior year, before cheering collegiately for a year and then pursuing nursing school.
In addition to my all star background, I also have experience in recreational cheerleading, which allows me to successfully coach both all star and recreational athletes. Understanding both styles has helped me adapt my coaching to athletes of all skill levels and goals, from beginners learning the fundamentals to competitive athletes advancing higher-level skills.
After my career as an athlete, I spent four years coaching all star cheer and tumbling in Texas, followed by another year coaching tumbling for an all star program in North Carolina. I was often told I could “tumble like the boys,” and from an early age I developed a passion for tumbling and helping athletes reach their full potential.
As a coach, my focus is on building confident, disciplined athletes through encouragement, positive reinforcement, strong fundamentals, and proper technique. I have a sharp eye for detail and believe that great technique is the foundation for long-term success. My goal is to help every athlete progress safely while creating an environment where they feel motivated, supported, and excited to step onto the mat.
Outside of the gym, I’ve been married to my middle school sweetheart, Derek, since 2015. Derek is active duty at Fort Bragg, which brought our family to North Carolina. Together we have four daughters—Rory, Mylie, and identical twins Reese and Blaire, ll of whom share my love for all star cheerleading.
At QEA, my mission is simple: to create the kind of program where athletes come first, families feel valued, and every child has the opportunity to grow in skill, confidence, and character.

Brianna Rivera
TEAM AND TUMBLE COACH
Hi, I’m Brianna Rivera! I cheered competitively for 11 years at Cheer Extreme Sanford and have loved every opportunity to give back to the sport through coaching. I’ve worked with middle school teams, Special Olympics athletes, and tumbling athletes from ages 3 to 18+, while also choreographing routines. I’m so excited to be part of the Quantum Elite Allstars family and can’t wait to help every athlete grow in confidence, skills, and love for cheer!
